About the Role

Admission Officer & Sales

CODED — The First Tech & AI Academy in the Arab World

About CODED

CODED is the first tech and AI academy in the Arab world, and the region's go-to place for technology and AI education. We build real technical capability — software engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, and emerging technologies — across individuals, youth, and enterprises.

What we are building is talent density. Not headcount. Not volume. A concentrated pool of genuinely exceptional people, inside CODED and across the market we serve.

We only aspire to work with people who are excellent at what they do, and who raise the standard of everyone around them.

That standard starts at the very first conversation someone has with us — which is where this role sits.

The Role: Admission Officer & Sales

Someone who contacts CODED is rarely just asking about a price. They are asking whether they can change their career, whether their child is on the right path, or whether they are capable of something they have not tried before.

That is not a sales conversation. It is an advisory one — conducted by someone who can also close.

The Admission Officer is the human face of CODED for every prospective student, and owns the conversation from first contact to enrolment. The role works both directions of the funnel — responding to inbound interest and reaching outbound to people who have gone quiet or have not heard of us yet — and decides, based on the funnel, where its time is best spent.

We deliberately treat this as an advisory function, not a classic sales function. The person here should have real sales charisma and genuine closing competence — and should use both in service of putting the right person in the right programme.

Three domains:

  1. Advisory & Enrolment
  2. Funnel Ownership — Inbound & Outbound
  3. Conversion & Pipeline Discipline

I. Advisory & Enrolment (Core Domain)

  • Conduct advisory calls and in-person consultations with prospective students and parents
  • Understand the person's background, goal, and constraints before recommending anything
  • Recommend the right programme honestly — including telling someone a programme is not right for them
  • Explain programme structure, outcomes, commitment, and pricing with total clarity
  • Run campus tours and open days that make the decision easier
  • Guide applicants through registration, payment, and enrolment without friction
  • Represent CODED with warmth, credibility, and confidence

Objective: every person who speaks to us leaves with clarity, whether they enrol or not.

II. Funnel Ownership — Inbound & Outbound

  • Respond quickly and well to inbound inquiries across every channel: phone, WhatsApp, social, email, walk-ins
  • Read the funnel daily and decide where the gap is — then act on it
  • Run outbound to warm leads, past inquiries, waitlists, and lapsed applicants
  • Reactivate people who went quiet; most of them did not say no, they just stopped replying
  • Follow up consistently and proactively — speed of response is the single biggest conversion lever
  • Feed real customer language, objections, and questions back to the marketing team

Objective: no lead sits untouched, and outbound fills whatever inbound does not.

III. Conversion & Pipeline Discipline

  • Own personal conversion KPIs and hit them
  • Maintain the CRM meticulously: every contact, stage, note, and next action logged
  • Handle objections around price, time, capability, and family approval with skill and honesty
  • Close — ask for the decision, and make committing easy
  • Report pipeline status and conversion performance to the Marketing Manager
  • Suggest improvements to the applicant experience based on what you see every day

Objective: interest becomes enrolment, and the pipeline is always visible.

Why This Role Is Critical

Everything marketing does ends at this conversation. A campaign that generates a hundred inquiries produces nothing if the person answering the phone cannot advise, cannot connect, and cannot close.

This is the last mile of customer acquisition — and the most human part of it.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years in sales, admissions, customer advisory, or a client-facing role with a target
  • Real sales charisma — warm and persuasive on the phone and face to face
  • Genuine closing competence: comfortable asking for a decision without pressure tactics
  • Advisory instinct — listens first, recommends honestly, does not oversell
  • Fluent Arabic and English, written and spoken; native Kuwaiti accent is a strong advantage
  • Basic technical literacy: understands what programming, AI, cybersecurity, and data careers actually involve
  • Comfortable using AI tools and a CRM to stay organised and fast
  • Disciplined with follow-up
  • Available for evening hours and occasional weekends — that is when families are free
  • Driving licence
  • Education, EdTech, or high-consideration consumer sales experience is an advantage

This is a role for someone who is excellent with people, motivated by a target, and would rather advise well than sell hard.
