Do I need cybersecurity experience to join?
No. Many CTFs include beginner-friendly challenges and guidance. If you’re curious and willing to learn under pressure, you can contribute.
Can I join solo, or do I need a team?
You can join solo. We support team matching so you can join others with complementary skills. If you already have a team, you can register together.
What kinds of challenges will I face?
It depends on the event, but common categories include web exploitation, cryptography, forensics, reverse engineering, OSINT, and basic scripting. Each CTF listing shares its categories in advance.
What tools are allowed—and what’s not allowed?
You can use standard tools for solving challenges (e.g., browsers, debuggers, Python scripts, Burp, Wireshark) depending on the event rules. Anything that disrupts the platform, attacks other teams, or breaks rules is strictly not allowed.
How does scoring work?
You earn points by capturing flags from challenges. Harder challenges are worth more, and tie-breakers may consider time. Full scoring and rules are shared before the CTF starts.
